Whether it's working out or going about your day to day activities, do you know what movements are breaking you down and which are building you up?
During this 30-45 minute appointment online Dr. Karla will ask you to perform some different movements and learn about your day to day activities so she can help you prevent injuries before they occur.
With many gyms closing down, many will take to the pavement. Getting outside is necessary but your body may pay if your running gait isn't quite up to par. Once the miles start to build up, small mechanical faults will create havoc on your body.
Take this time to have that Doctor or Coach in your back pocket while you hit the road by yourself!
During this 30 minute assessment, Dr. Karla will ask you to prop your phone up during a zoom, facetime or google hangout conference where she will take some measurements and then make recommendations to your seated and/or standing work station to keep your body healthy while working from home or at your office.
Done by hand without the use of medications, allowing the body to heal itself.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.
Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.
In contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue. Some believe that this stimulation boosts your body's natural painkillers.
Dry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling. It is also known as intramuscular stimulation. It involves the use of either solid filiform needles or hollow-core hypodermic needles for therapy of muscle pain, including pain related to myofascial pain syndrome. Dry needling is mainly used to treat myofascial trigger points, but it is also used to target connective tissue, neural ailments, and muscular ailments.
